मंडी भारतीय राज्य  हिमचाल प्रदेश का एक प्रसिद्ध जिला है , इसे छोटी कशी (पहाड़ों की वाराणसी) भी कहा जाता है , यह शिमला से 145 किलोमीटर उत्तर मे स्थित है। मंडी राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग 20 के माध्यम से पठानकोट से जुड़ा है जो लगभग 220 किमी  लंबा है और मनाली और चंडीगढ़ से राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग 21 के माध्यम से है जो 323 किमी लंबा है। चंडीगढ़ से मंडी लगभग 184.6 किमी है।

मंडी शहर, जिसे "मंदिरों के गिरजाघर" के रूप में जाना जाता है, हिमाचल प्रदेश के सबसे पुराने शहरों में से एक है, जिसकी परिधि में विभिन्न देवी-देवताओं के लगभग 81 मंदिर हैं। जनगणना 2011 के अनुसार यहाँ की कुल आबादी 26,422 है।

Mandi is a famous district of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, it is also called Choti kashi (Varanasi of the mountains), it is located 145 kilometers north of Shimla. Mandi is connected to Pathankot through National Highway 20, which is about 220 km long and is through National Highway 21 from Manali and Chandigarh, which is 323 km long. Mandi is approximately 184.6 km from Chandigarh.

The town of Mandi, which is known as "Church of the Temples", is one of the oldest cities in Himachal Pradesh, which has approximately 81 temples of various deities in its periphery. According to Census 2011, the total population here is 26,422.

  मंडी में शिवरात्रि प्रमुख त्योहारों मैं से एक है  यँहा का मेला विश्व भर मे प्रसिद्ध है , मंडी में हर वर्ष अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पे शिवरात्रि मेले का आयोजन किया जाता है और यह त्यौहार बड़े ही धूम धाम से मनाया जाता है। मेले का शुभांरभ शिवरत्रि के दिन होता है और यह मेला सात दिनों तक चलता है। शिवरात्रि के दिन मेले में लगभग 200  स्थानीय देवी देवताओ ं का आगमन होता है जिसे मंडी शहर एक भव्य उत्सव स्थल में बदल जाता है।

Shivaratri is one of the major festivals in the Mandi. The fair is famous all over the world, every year, the Shivaratri Mela is organized at the international level and this festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm. The fair is celebrated on the occasion of Shivratri and this fair takes place for seven days. On the day of Shivratri, there are about 200 local God & Goddesses coming in the fair, which makes Mandi town a grand festive place.

शिवरात्रि का त्योहार प्रमुख कार्यक्रम भूतनाथ मंदिर में किया जाता है जो की इस मेले का मुख्य आकर्सण केंद्र मना जाता है।

Shivratri festival's main program is celebrated in the  Bhootnath Temple, which is the main attraction center of this fair.
